01

Arrive Baku - Capital of Azerbaijan

Arrive Baku - the capital of Azerbaijan, and the largest city on the Caspian Sea.. Upon arrival, meet your tour manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs. The tour manager will guide you to the vehicle for a transfer to to the city. Today we visit Shirvanshah Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was the former residence of the rulers of the Shirvanshahs. Later, proceed on a guided city tour of Baku. See the Old town the historical core of Baku, which is surrounded by walls which were built as a defense. See the Qız Qalası - the Maiden tower - a UNESCO world heritage site and a symbol of Baku city; Fountain Square, where the city authorities hold many public festivals; National Flag Square - the flagpole was confirmed as the world's tallest by the Guinness Book of Records; TV Tower - free standing concrete telecommunications tower and the tallest structure in Azerbaijan.

DAY
02

Baku – Gobustan National Park – Baku 

After a buffet breakfast, visit Gobustan National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for the ancient carvings, cave paintings and gas-stones. It is also home to remains of inhabited caves, burials and other human settlements dating back from the last Ice Age to the Middle Ages. Upon arrival we see Mud volcanoes - Azerbaijan is home to nearly a third of the world's mud volcanoes. Later we return to Baku. Enjoy a local lunch. Upon arrival, take a photo-stop at Heydar Aliyev Centre - one of the signature architectural landmarks of modern Baku and Azerbaijan. Further we visit Carpet Museum- the only museum dedicated to the art of carpet weaving. Proceed to see Highland Park - well known as 'Viewing Square', Flame Towers – a trio of skyscrapers in Baku. Baku’s long history of fire worship provided the inspiration for the development of this iconic design. Later this evening walk through Nizami Street - one of the best places to roam around the city, followed by a beautiful boat ride at 'Little Venice of Baku'

03

Baku – Shamakhi – Gabala - Tufandağ – Baku

After a buffet breakfast, proceed to Gabala - a beautiful part of Azerbaijan with a rich and ancient history. En-route visit the Juma Mosque in Shamakhi - one of Azerbaijan's largest and most lavish places of worship. Upon arrival, enjoy a cable car ride to Tufandağ Mountain - the third highest mountain in Azerbaijan at a height of 13,750 feet.  Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive back to Baku. En-route  a photo-stop at Nohur Lake - one of the most fascinating places in Azerbaijan. It is a combination of mountainous landscape and diverse fauna.

DAY
04

Baku – Yanar Dag – Baku - Flight to Tbilisi

After a buffet/boxed breakfast, check-out and visit Yanar Dag - also known as Burning Mountain, which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula. Further we visit Atashgah - an ancient Zoroastrian Temple, which was also visited by Mahatma Gandhi and Tsar Nicholas. Enjoy. a local lunch. We then visit Gala Archaeology and Ethnography Open-Air Museum, a well-known open-air historical museum. Scientists have found evidence that the first settlements at the Gala Village site appeared at least 5,000 years ago. Return to Baku for dinner. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Tbilisi. On arrival, transfer to hotel.

Tbilisi

After a buffet breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour in Tbilisi. Visit the monument to King Vakhtang I Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Later, take the cable car to Narikala Fortress to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of sulphur bath houses, passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. Enjoy a local lunch. Stroll through the Shardeni Street full of cozy cafés, wine-tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past. Visit Sioni Cathedral and the clock tower of the famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre and cross the Bridge of Peace to Rike Park. In the evening, enjoy a Folklore show with a traditional Georgian dinner.

06

Tbilisi – Telavi – Tsinandali – Sighnaghi – Tbilisi

After a buffet breakfast, proceed to Kakheti region of Georgia, the cradle of Georgian wine. A beautiful road lies through Gombori pass. Stop at Telavi, the administrative and historic centre of the region. Take a short walk through the charming streets of old Telavi and a photo-stop at the monument to King Erekle II. Drive to Tsinandali, the residence of the dukes of Georgia with a beautiful English garden, a museum, and the wine cellar which belonged to Prince Ilia Chavchavadze, 19th century public figure and poet. Enjoy a local lunch. Continue to Sighnaghi - the city of love - and the Royal Town, one of the crossroads of the Great Silk Road surrounded by defensive walls with 23 towers. Return to Tbilisi. Photo-stop en-route at Bodbe Monastery, which as per legend is the burial place of St Nino, the nun who introduced Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century.

07

Tbilisi – Ananuri – Kazbegi – Tbilisi

After a buffet breakfast, proceed to Kazbegi. The route runs through the Georgian Military Highway north towards the border with Russia. Stop at Ananuri Fortress Complex, the former residence of the Argveti Dukes. The complex features churches and towers dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, beautifully overlooking the Zhinvali Water Reservoir. The names of these structures are particularly interesting. The tower is called Sheupovari, meaning 'obstinate', the minor Church of Virgin is called Ghvtaeba, meaning 'deity', and the Church of the Assumption is called Mkurnali, meaning 'healer'. Enjoy a local lunch. Later, drive to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for the fact that they keep their own colors even after merging. Then proceed to Jvari Pass (Cross Pass) and make a short stop at the Soviet-era 'People’s Friendship' mountain viewpoint overlooking a deep gorge of the Caucasus mountain range. Arrive in Kazbegi and drive to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located at an altitude of 2170 metres. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mt Kazbegi. Return to Tbilisi.

08

Tbilisi – Georgia-Armenia Border Crossing – Haghpat – Lake Sevan – Sevanavank – Yerevan

After a buffet/boxed breakfast, check-out and transfer to 'Sadakhlo-Bagratashen', the Georgian-Armenian border crossing. Once across the border, meet your Armenian guide and driver, and start the journey to the land of ancient traditions and the oldest churches and monasteries. Enjoy a local lunch. Drive to the Lori Region and visit the Haghpat Monastery - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A stunning example of Armenian traditional architecture erected in the 10-13th centuries. Standing on a hillside, Haghpat beautifully overlooks River Debed. The location of the monastery was chosen to protect the peace and seclusion of its monks. Drive through Dilijan and to Lake Sevan, 'The Jewel of Armenia' and one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world. The coastline of Lake Sevan is rich with thick woods, white bare steep rocks, mountain steppes and Alpine meadows. Stop at Sevanavank to visit the remnants of the monastery that include two churches – Surb Arakelots and Surb Karapet standing among numerous khachkars - Armenian memorial cross-stones. The buildings were constructed from black tuff which probably gave the monastery its name Sevanavank – 'the Black Monastery'. The view from there is simply magnificent: the mountains surround the lake from all sides!

Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

After a buffet breakfast, proceed on a day excursion to Garni, one of the major villages in Armenia famous for its fortress. The fortress is the only pagan sacred place from the 1st century that survived the introduction of Christianity in the 4th century. The next stop is at the monastery complex Geghard (spear). The beautiful landscape of Geghard is framed by towering cliffs. Decorative art cut into rocks reflects the development of the region throughout the Medieval Ages. The complex was introduced to history in the 4th century as a sacred spring inside a cave. Enjoy a local lunch. Return to Yerevan for a sightseeing tour. One of the oldest cities of the world, Yerevan is famous as a pink city and calls visitors with its humble and at the same time splendid landscapes. Start the city tour by visiting the Cascade Monument, one of the main symbols of the city. The mega-scale staircase has 572 steps. A panoramic view from the monument opens a breathtaking city view with Opera House, Mount Ararat, Swan Lake, Republic Square and Abovyan Street. Visit Vernissage, the biggest souvenir market in Yerevan. In the evening, enjoy a Folklore show with a traditional Armenian dinner.

  • Cost of International Air Tickets
  • Cost of deviation: In case any clients wish to deviate from the group departure dates mentioned in the brochure i.e. either travel before the departure date of your tour or would like to come back on a later date after the tour ends, there will be an additional charge that will be applicable which will be advised to you by our sales team. The same is subject to availability of seats & class for the given dates & ticket validity. Kindly also note, the deviation request is to be made at the time of booking. 
  • Cost of Transfer: In case clients are arriving or departing at a time that is different from the group arrival/departure time, which will be conveyed to the clients while booking the tour, there will be an additional cost of transfer. The group arrival and departure timings will vary from tour to tour.
  • Cost of visas to travel on the tour.
  • Medical/ Travel insurance. 
  • Any expenses of personal nature such as laundry, wines, mineral water, food and drink not in the regular menu provided by us, mini bar, telephone calls, pay channels, cruise shore excursion and any type of beverages in cruise etc. Anything not specified under inclusions.
  • Meals other than what is mentioned in your itinerary 
  • Cost of excursions, city sightseeing, entrance fees and local guides availed of by the passengers, other than that mentioned in ‘What your tour price includes’

OVERSEAS TRAVEL INSURANCE:

    It’s very important to find out before you leave whether or not your medical insurance will cover you overseas. Your regular U.S. health insurance may not cover doctors’ and hospital visits in other countries. We recommend clients take overseas travel insurance to cover any eventuality while on tour.  

IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED

  • Only fully vaccinated persons are eligible to travel on this tour over and above the prevailing covid protocols outlined by the respective countries
  • Passengers taking early morning flights will be provided with boxed breakfast. 
  • All tours will be operated subject to a minimum of 25 full paying passengers traveling together. In case there are less than 25 full paying passengers the clients will be given an option of travelling on another departure date.
  • Keeping in view the Luggage compartment of coach & Internal Flight regulations, we strongly recommend you to carry only medium size Bag of 20 kg and 1 carryon bag of 5 kg per person.
  • The dates and granting of Visas is at the sole discretion of the concerned consulate. Air Tours Holidays is not responsible for granting of visas and are only a facilitator in the visa application process and any situation arising out of delay in granting visa by the consulate/embassy.
  • In case you are not able to continue the tour due to loss of passport, theft, illness, or any other life-event beyond our control, Air Tours is not liable to give any refund on unutilized services.
  • Please note that in case any clients loses their passport, the cost of getting a new passport and necessary charges to revise the arrangement to return home will be borne by client, and there will be no refund for any unutilized services.
  • Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay in flights or change in Schedule by the airline and any situations arising out of the same. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms/coach during your stay, shall be payable by the passengers. Air Tours will not be liable for the same. 
  • Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement. 
  • Air Tours will not be liable in any loss of baggage by the Airline. However, we will provide assistance in tracing any lost baggage.
  • Air Tours reserves the right to charge any additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such losses or expenses must be borne by the passengers.
  • Air Tours reserves the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any particular departure, excursion advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed advisable or necessary.
  • There will be no refund on unutilized services or partly utilized services.
  • For the convenience of our passengers, Air Tours will sometimes amend the itinerary; however all the other services will remain the same.
  • If clients prefer to have meals on their own there will be no refund.
  • All hotels may not have Tea or Coffee machines in the room.
  • It is strictly not allowed to eat, drink or smoke inside the Coach.
  • Coaches may not have any Wi-Fi facilities or USB phone charging options on board.
  • Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case two different people are sharing a room and one of them cancels the tour.
  • The Tour Cost is a combination of all the arrangements and hence cannot be calculated on an individual service basis. Tour cost is one component and not calculated individually.
  • Standard check-in at hotels is 1400-1500 hours and check out is 1100-1200 hours.
  • Updating of mileage is subject to Airlines terms & conditions in group fare. 
  • We request the airlines for your preferred seats however this is as per their policy and at their discretion.
  • Please refer to the booking form for detailed cancellation policy and ‘Terms and Conditions’.

BOOKING TERMS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All services such as Airline seats/Hotels accommodation/ground transportation for group tours are pre-blocked well in advance. We are liable to pay penalties to all our suppliers/vendors if these services are released within the below mentioned time frame. If circumstances make you cancel the tour, the cancellation must be intimated to us in writing. Such cancellation will attract the following cancellation charges:

MANDATORY TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Keeping in view the safety of all travelers and as per the requirement of various countries, only fully vaccinated people who have taken the last shot / jab / dose at least 14 days before the travel date will be allowed on the tour..

CANCELLATION DUE TO BORDER CLOSURES:

In case we are unable to operate a tour due to Border Closure, Air Tours Holidays LLC will refund the deposit amount after deducting the administrative fees of US$ 100 per person. In the event that the entire tour cost has been paid by you and we in turn have paid our overseas tour operators, after which the tour gets cancelled due to Border Closure, then it is possible that we are not able to get the amount back, then we will try and get the refund or a credit note for a later travel date. Any loss due to the exchange rate will affect the refund amount. The company reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to the departure, without assigning any reason. All monies paid by you will be fully refunded in USD only, and no compensation will be payable. In case of cruises, 100% of the cruise cost paid will be forfeited in case of any cancellations irrespective of time of cancellation. The company cannot assume responsibility for any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through the company.
