Day 1 : Arrive At Chennai
|

Arrive Chennai, the gateway to Southern India. Transfer to your hotel. This afternoon you proceed on a sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George and the Government museum. The rest of the evening is at leisure. |

Day 2 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram |

40 Kms-1 Hr Drive)
Drive 40 miles along the sea-coast to the ancient port city of Mamallapuram, famous for its three major-sights of great architectural & artistic merit: the 1200 year old Shore Temple, the Five Temple-Chariots carved out of stone, and the biggest
abs-relief in the world.
Rest of the day is free for leisure activities.

Day 3 : Mahabalipuram-Chennai-Madurai (Air) |
|
After breakfast, depart for Chennai airport for your flight to Madurai. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After lunch, visit Naikar Mahal and Meenakshi Temple.

Day 4 : Madurair-Periyar |

After breakfast, drive to Periyar. Upon arrival check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Periyar |

After breakfast, enjoy the boat ride on Lake Periyar. Visit Periyar National Park, Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon visit spice plantation.

Day 6 : Periyar-Kumarakom |

In the Morning, depart to Kumarakom located in the famous backwaters of Kerala. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 7 : Kumarakom |
|
|
After Breakfast, visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Evening at your leisure. |

Day 8 : Kumarakom - Alleppey |

(30 Kms - ½ Hr)
After breakfast, proceed to Alleppy. Arrive at Alleppy and check into your houseboat. Rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding backwaters. |

Day 9 :
Alleppey-Cochin |
|
After breakfast, disembark houseboat and drive to Cochin. Check into the hotel. Later in the afternoon, proceed for a city tour of Cochin.
Attractions:
- Dutch Palace (Closed on Fridays)
-Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Friday afternoon and Jewish Holidays)
-Jew Street shop in the cobbled streets of Cochin, St. Francis Church
(Closed till 11:00 Hrs on Sundays).
