Day 1 : Srinagar
|
|
Fly by early morning flight to Leh from Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Rest till afternoon. Afternoon drive to Gelug-pa (Yellow Hat of Tibetan Buddhism), Monastery of Sanka. From Sanka, drive to Shanit Stupa for a magnificent view of Leh valley and the sun setting into The Zanskar Range. Drive back to Hotel.

Day 2 : Leh-Alchi |
|
After breakfast, drive to Alchi. Enroute, visit Basgo Palace and Liker monastery. Arrive at Alchi by afternoon and check into your camps. Visit Alchi monastery and spend rest the day exploring the Alchi village.

Overnight stay at Green Leaves Eco-Camp.

Day 3 : Alchi-Leh |
|
Drive to Rid-zong monastery, situated in a very peaceful and isolated gorge about 45 minutes drive from Alchi. Ridzong moastery is famous for its moastic community. The Monastery has very beautiful wall paintings of Buddh’s life story. After the visit, drifve back to Leh. Late afternoon is free. You can take a stroll in the town

Day 4 : Leh
|
|
Drive to Hemis, About 50 Kms east of Leh. You have the option to walk to this beautiful and famous Gotsang meditation caver. It’s about a 45 munutes walk to Gotsang.On way back, visit Hemis Monastery. After the visit, enjoy packed lunch near the steam at Hemis. After lunch, drive back to Leh and on the way visit Thiksey mosasery.

Day 5 : Leh |
|
A visit to Stok village and the Palace. We will take a walk into the spectacular Stok Gorge. This is the popular route for expeditions on 20460 stok Kangri. From Lato we will walk back to Stok village along the river. Lunch at a local family house at Stok. Drive back to Leh in the afternoon. Rest of the day is free.

Day 6 : Leh-Delhi
|
|
Early morning transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi and onward destination
