Day
1
Proceed to the Mountain Lodge and enjoy game viewing too!
On arrival into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are met by Safari Trails Airport Representative as you disembark
off the flight, you will be assisted through immigration and customs. After collecting your luggage you will be met and
drive to the Mt. Kenya Area. Check into Mountain Lodge, which is ideally located in the Mt. Kenya National Park and
overlooking a water-hole. In the afternoon after a sumptuous Indian lunch at the Lodge, you can watch a host of wild
animals visiting the waterhole. This evening, enjoy a delicious Indian dinner. Spend the night at the Lodge viewing
various animals as they come to visit the waterhole and saltlicks.

Day
2 & 3
Mountain Lodge – Sweetwaters
Breakfast at the lodge. Morning drive to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary. Lunch at the camp. Afternoon game drives -
cum - visit to the rescued chimpanzees’- and black rhino’s sanctuaries. The beautiful Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies in
the heart of this privately owned 24,000 acre ranch with magnificent views across the wildlife- studded plains to the
snowcapped peaks of Mount Kenya. A visit to Sweetwaters Sanctuary would not be complete without a visit to see
Morani, the tame black rhinoceros on the property. There is also a 200-acre chimpanzee sanctuary.

Day 4
Sweet Waters – Samburu.
Breakfast at the lodge. Morning depart by road to Samburu Game Reserve located at the North rugged Semi desert
region. Samburu Game Reserve is a wild and little visited region, well known for spectacular scenery and wildlife not
found in the south: Reticulated Giraffe, the rare Grevy’s Zebra with its large furry ears, the Gerenuk antelope standing
on its hind legs to feed and Somali Ostriches with their distinctive blue legs.
Lunch upon arrival at your lodge then proceed on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day
5
Explore Samburu
Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drive. You may see Elephant, Cheetah, Leopard, Eland, Oryx,
Impala, Dikdik, Waterbuck and a variety of birds. This lava plain includes a varied landscape of red dirt, thorn scrub,
broken volcanic rock, dried riverbeds, steep hills and rocky outcroppings. Following the river’s curves, a forest of Doum
Palms, Acacia and Tamarind is a magical contrast of cool green. Other areas of the Reserve
include the Uaso Nyiro River where crocodiles sun bath themselves on the banks. It also provides an oasis for a variety
of game. Birds are abundant, with 365 species recorded, one for every day of the year.

Day 6
Samburu – Nairobi
Breakfast at the Lodge Morning drive back to Nairobi arriving at lunch time. With onward transfer to Jomo Kenyatta
Airport for Your International departure flight back home.
